Our Veterinarians

Dr. Molly Malloy

Dr. Molly Malloy

DVM

Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania (and yes, a fan of The Office), Molly graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2007. Her first job was a true James Herriot adventure in Oxford, Pennsylvania, where she worked in a mixed animal practice treating a range of species—from gerbils to draft horses. She later returned to London to work at a bustling small animal hospital in central London before moving back to the U.S. in 2011 to spend five years at an emergency and referral clinic in Philadelphia.

In 2017, Molly moved to the Vail Valley and now calls Eagle home. She’s embraced the unique charm and community spirit of the area, where Coloradans’ love for their pets is clear. Molly is committed to providing top-notch care at affordable prices and aims to educate owners about their pets’ health so that, together, they can make the best decisions for each pet and family. She looks forward to being part of this community for years to come and can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

Dr. Dan Siltman

Dr. Dan Siltman

DVM

Born and raised in Cheyenne, WY, Dan attended the University of Wyoming and then moved on to the University of Glasgow for veterinary training, graduating in 2014. Soon after, he began practicing small animal medicine in Denver, where he worked for five years before relocating to Eagle with his wife to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle without the weekend warrior commute.

Dan takes a methodical and practical approach to veterinary medicine, helping pet owners keep their animals healthy and happy. His main areas of interest include general surgery, dentistry, wound management, and internal medicine. He’s thrilled to be part of the Eagle County community and looks forward to many years here with his wife, Rachel, their dog, Chips, and cats, Catsup and Potato Olé. Outside the clinic, you might spot them around Eagle, enjoying fly fishing, mountain biking, snowboarding, skiing, trail running, rafting, and camping.

dr Rebekah

Dr. Rebekah Porter

DVM

Dr. Rebekah Porter has been practicing veterinary medicine in Colorado since 2013, with a brief adventure in Hawaii along the way. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, practical, and budget-conscious medical and surgical care, always striving to enhance the quality of life for her patients while respecting each family’s unique circumstances.

Dr. Porter has a special interest in increasing access to veterinary care for individuals with disabilities and advocating for both human and animal victims of domestic violence.
Outside of work, Dr. Porter loves exploring the outdoors through hiking and mushroom foraging, unwinding with a good book, enjoying live music, and expressing her creativity through needlepoint. Her dog, Hank, is a sunbathing enthusiast who adores snuggles, scent detection training, and leaving his mark on every tree he passes.

Our Veterinary Technicians

Cathy Wetzel

Cathy Wetzel

Head Veterinary Technician

In 1989, Cathy made the leap to Colorado and now happily calls this stunning state home with her husband, Jeff, their energetic pup, Bristol Rose, and two mischievous kitties, Muldoon and Domino. With over 20 years in veterinary medicine and experience working alongside some incredible veterinarians, she considers her role at EagleVet to be her dream job.

Outside of work (in the rare event she finds that elusive ‘free time’), you’ll find Cathy rafting, exploring Colorado’s beautiful outdoors with her family, or simply savoring a well-deserved break. Joining the EagleVet team feels like winning the job lottery, and she’s thrilled to care for so many wonderful pets in the valley every day.

Julea White

Julea White

Julea, a passionate Registered Veterinary Technician from Boston, MA, grew up in the city but developed a deep love for both mountains and deserts, which eventually led her to the Vail Valley—a perfect middle ground. The tranquility of this area has nurtured her respect for all creatures, great and small, and inspired her career in veterinary medicine. Combining her love for animals with her fascination for nature, Julea finds immense fulfillment in all aspects of her work, whether she’s assisting in surgery, handling emergencies, or educating pet parents on wellness.

When not in the clinic, Julea can be found exploring the desert or hiking and off-roading in the mountains with her little dog, Josie. She believes in fostering a strong bond between pets and their people through empathy and education, and she strives each day to make a positive impact on the lives of animals and the community she serves, blending her technical skills with a compassionate heart.

Veterinary Assistants

Aletta Alta Engelbrecht

Aletta Alta Engelbrecht

Veterinary Assistant

Alta is far more than a veterinary assistant to us; she’s an irreplaceable part of the EagleVet family. Hailing from South Africa, where she grew up on a ranch, her life has been anything but ordinary. Pursuing her passion for opera, she became not only an accomplished singer but also a manager, overseeing both an opera company and a symphony. Her journey led her to Europe, where she followed her dreams on some of the world’s most prestigious stages.

After eventually settling in Colorado, a run-in with Dr. Ron Gruber brought her to 10 Fox Hollow Drive, where she worked for him for 11 years. When EagleVet took over, she graciously joined our team, bringing her unmatched care and expertise.

Beyond her work at EagleVet, Alta is an artist and an incredible cook. An international woman of mystery, her love for animals and children is evident in everything she does. We are incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team, and she continues to be an invaluable asset to EagleVet.

Our Practice Manager

Rachel Siltman

Rachel Siltman

Practice Manager

With a strong love for numbers and strategy, Rachel earned a Finance degree from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Science in Investment Banking and Finance from the University of Glasgow. She spent the first decade of her career immersed in financial services, data analytics, and consulting, navigating boardrooms and crunching numbers.

After some time, Rachel realized she wanted to pursue a more hands-on role connected to her community. This led her to trade the boardroom for a set of scrubs and join EagleVet as the Practice Manager, a change that has been both refreshing and rewarding. Being part of a team dedicated to caring for the valley’s beloved pets has been an incredible experience. Every day brings something new, and Rachel is excited to continue making a meaningful impact on pets and their families in the community.
